1) how did you prepare for the audition? I read through the script with Anika a few times, and then alone and with my mom a few times. I would've liked to research the part a little more, but I happened to be insanely busy that week.
2) did you apply any information or techniques from previous classes or experiences that was useful?
no, but I did make sure to be super polite, and to look the person in the eyes when she was speaking to me, and to speak clearly, and to look confident.
3) did you research at all?
No, sadly, because I was very busy with other work.
4) how did you approach the script?
I read through it as myself a few times to get a feel for the conversation and the scene, then slowly as I got a better idea of the character, I read it as her.
The Audition Itself
1) recall how you think it went for you. Assess your strengths and shortcomings.
The first readthrough went great for me, I was clear and she enjoyed it. After I read through it she gave me ideas to make it more personal, using my mom and college as a way of getting me to feel how the character feels. She was super helpful and nice and I enjoyed auditioning with her. I feel like I came up short in preparing for the audition, once again because I had little time to research the character.

2) how did you apply the information offered to you during your audition.
I used her advise to help personalize my character by comparing the events in the script to the events in my life.

3) do you think you did or didn't "get the part," and why.
I don't think I got the part because in a real audition, I wouldn't have been told to personalize it, and my first readthrough wasn't accurate to the character.
